West African Cocoa Output Set for Further 10% Decline Despite Better Weather

Nigeria and three other major West African cocoa producers are projected to face a fresh 10% decline in cocoa output in the 2025/26 season, despite marginal improvements in weather conditions.

Industry sources note that the region has already experienced two consecutive below-average harvests before this latest projection.

Ivory Coast and Ghana, the world’s top cocoa producers, along with Nigeria and Cameroon, collectively account for over two-thirds of global cocoa supply.
