Canada and the US have been in negotiations, aiming to reach a trade deal by July 21, but the new tariff threat may shift that deadline. Both Canada and Mexico are seeking ways to address Trump’s concerns to keep the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) on track.
