Sowore: Nigerian Policemen Set to Protest Poor Pay on July 21
Human rights activist and 2023 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has disclosed that rank-and-file policemen in Nigeria are prepared to embark on a protest on July 21 over poor remuneration.
Speaking on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Wednesday, Sowore stated that the affected officers, whose salaries leave them “as good as unemployed,” have picked July 21 as the date for the protest to demand better pay.
