Shettima Reaffirms Nigeria’s Commitment to Nuclear Test Ban
Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to the ban on nuclear weapon testing.
Speaking during a meeting at the Presidential Villa with a delegation from the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organisation (CTBTO), led by its Executive Secretary, Dr. Robert Floyd, Shettima emphasized that Africa’s current priority is addressing existential challenges such as poverty and the effects of climate change, not the pursuit of nuclear weapons capability.
