Obasanjo Pays Tribute to Late President Muhammadu Buhari
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has paid tribute to the late President Muhammadu Buhari, who died in London, describing him as a patriot and statesman.
Speaking to journalists in Abeokuta on Sunday, the 88-year-old Obasanjo stated that Buhari tried his best and contributed immensely to Nigeria’s socioeconomic and political development during his lifetime.
Obasanjo prayed for the repose of Buhari’s soul and noted that the former president would be greatly missed by family, friends, and the nation.
