Nigeria’s NIN Database Hits 120 Million, Says NIMC
The National Identification Number (NIN) database managed by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has grown by 20% to 120 million as of June 2025, up from 100 million recorded in December 2023.
According to NIMC data, 68.4 million (56.5%) of Nigerians captured in the NIN database so far are male.
NIMC Director General, Abisoye Coker-Odusote, noted that the ongoing ward enrollment exercise, when completed, will enable the government to know the actual number of Nigerians and improve effective planning for the citizens.
