Nigerian rapper MI Abaga is sparking a new conversation about leadership and humility, using his platform and artistry to deliver a thought-provoking message.
In a video shared on his verified Instagram page, the award-winning rapper and songwriter drew a symbolic comparison between lions and wolves to explain what true leadership looks like.
According to MI, while lions are often seen as kings due to their strength, wolves lead from behind—protecting the pack and eating only after everyone else is fed. He explained that true leaders are servants first, choosing responsibility over recognition.
“For a lion to become a wolf, he must see himself as smaller than he is, let go of so much, and commit to only one woman,” MI said, adding depth to the discussion on sacrifice, loyalty, and humility in leadership.
