Ruud van Nistelrooy has departed Leicester City nearly 10 weeks after the club’s relegation from the Premier League, the club confirmed on Friday.
In a statement, Leicester announced that they had “mutually agreed” with the Dutchman to terminate his contract with immediate effect.
Van Nistelrooy, 48, joined the Foxes in late November following a short stint as caretaker manager at Manchester United.
