India’s Fauja Singh, World’s Oldest Distance Runner, Dies at 114
Fauja Singh, believed to be the world’s oldest distance runner, has died in a road accident in India at the age of 114, his biographer confirmed on Tuesday.

Known as the “Turbaned Tornado,” the Indian-born British national passed away after being struck by a vehicle in Punjab’s Jalandhar district on Monday. Singh, who ran full marathons until the age of 100, became an international sensation after taking up distance running at 89, following the death of his wife and son, inspired by watching marathons on television.
His story of resilience and late-life athletic achievement made him an enduring inspiration globally.
