
Anambra Police Arrest Man with Fresh Human Breast, Rescue Kidnapped Driver
The Anambra State Police Command has announced a series of breakthroughs in its fight against crime across the state within the past week, including the arrest of a man found with a fresh human breast and the rescue of a kidnapped truck driver.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, operatives attached to Awada Police Station, in collaboration with the Anambra Vigilante Group, arrested a 25-year-old suspect, Samuel Eze, along Jude Onyekwere Street, Awada, Obosi. The arrest, made during a patrol around 3:30 p.m. on July 6, 2025, led to the recovery of the fresh human breast, which was deposited at the morgue while the suspect is undergoing interrogation pending prosecution.

In a separate operation, the police rescued a kidnapped driver on July 4, 2025, at about 12:45 p.m. The driver had been abducted by criminals who diverted his truck loaded with custard powder valued at ₦9.5 million, originally destined for Asaba, Delta State, but diverted to Enugwu-Ukwu after the abductors tied the driver in a bush. The police arrested three suspects connected to the case: 38-year-old Udegenyi Ugochukwu, 47-year-old Anayochukwu Okonkwo, and 47-year-old Good Odigili, who have confessed and are assisting with investigations.


Additionally, SP Ikenga reported the recovery of a suspected stolen and abandoned Toyota Sienna with registration number 736 JP, marked “Forum of Accountants Delta State,” found by operatives from Obosi Division around 4:30 p.m. on July 5, 2025, during patrol along Okpuno-Umuota Village, Obosi. The police have requested anyone seeking the vehicle to present valid proof of ownership for verification and collection.
The Anambra State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to the safety and security of residents, noting that joint patrols involving the Police, Military, Civil Defence, Immigration, DSS, and the Anambra Vigilante Group will continue across the state to combat crime effectively.
