Food Prices to Remain High Until Farmer Security Is Improved – Economist
Senior Economist at SPM Professionals, Paul Alaje, has stated that food prices in Nigeria will remain high until improved security is provided for farmers in the country’s key food-producing regions.
Speaking on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Thursday, Alaje emphasised the need for decisive action to end violent attacks in states like Benue and Plateau, which are major agricultural hubs, in order to boost food production and stabilise prices amid the rising cost of living.
