Syrian Teen Charged Over Alleged Taylor Swift Concert Attack Plot
German federal prosecutors have charged a Syrian teenager, identified only as Mohammad A., with supporting a foreign terrorist organisation and preparing a serious act of violence after he allegedly plotted an attack at a Taylor Swift concert.
Authorities said police detained three suspects, including a 19-year-old Austrian with North Macedonian roots, in connection with the threat. The United States reportedly shared intelligence that assisted in the investigation.
Reacting to the security threat, Swift shared on Instagram that the reason for recent concert cancellations “filled me with a new sense of fear and a tremendous amount of guilt because so many had planned on coming to those shows.”
